On Saturday, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway had to be closed for vehicular traffic due to multiple shooting stones.

The closure was necessary as shooting stones were reported at Mehad, and the road at Dalwas became extremely slippery, posing a significant safety risk to travellers. As a result, the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic police have advised people not to travel on the highway without confirmation from Traffic Control Units (TCUs).
